How to Store HeidiSQL Passwords Safely

According to this, HeidiSQL stores passwords confused in the registry. I would like to keep them in a more secure way:
I have an encrypted VeraCrypt volume and I want HeidiSQL to access only my passwords when setting the volume. Is there any way to do this?

just a little idea:

  • use portable version of HeidiSQL
  • put your HeidiSQL transporter in your veraCrypt volume

This, of course, with the assumption that HeidiSQL Portable does not store anything in the registry. this, you must make sure using it from the USB stick / drive from one PC to another, and check if your passwords are transferred to another computer.
