Do web workers get their own garbage collector?

Question

I have some processing that is not necessarily intense, but a lot of temporary objects are created, which leads to questionable garbage collector icons during animation, etc.

Will this process of creating temp objects offload web workers to ease this? In other words - will the GC hiccups be isolated to the web worker thread and will not affect my main thread or the GC that will affect both threads?

The ECMAScript specification does not specify form memory management; garbage collection is only mentioned in non-normative parts.
