How is the new DL rating calculated in the search for the Hackage package?

Searching for the Hackage package at the moment does not just list all matches as it did, but allows you to sort them differently. It is noteworthy that now it is possible to sort by rating, that is, by how satisfied the users with the package are (if people really begin to evaluate the packages ... it was possible for a while, but there are almost no votes assigned yet), and some criterion "DL " I first suggested that this somehow takes into account the inverse dependencies, that is, it describes how many other packages depend on this, but this cannot be so, since baseit only has a value of 1692 , whereas, for example, it base64-bytestringhas a whopping 7384.

So, if it’s not, what does this number tell me?

Loading.

Clicking on base shows:

Downloads 21206 total (1692 in the last 30 days)

Thus, it displays the last 30 days of loading.
