What are the most restrictive aws resource name restrictions (e.g. characters and length)?

Question

Different resources in aws, such as S3 buckets, lambdas, and roles, have different maximum lengths and different character sets that they accept.

Is there a very limited resource name that, if you follow it, you will also observe the restrictions of all other resources?

I am looking for a set of restrictions that will obey any type of restrictions that will be applied by all resource groups around the world, but should also be as permissible as possible.

An ideal answer would be a good, unambiguous regular expression.
