The Access database used by several people in my office sometimes blinks quickly with several error messages, and then loses some macro functions. For the first time this happened, I researched the topic and found a solution - there were no links in Visual Basic that needed to be fixed. After opening the list of 4 links that were selected, everyone read "MISSING: Microsoft X 16.0 Object Library", where X is [Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook]. I recalled these links, scrolled down and selected the library links 15.0. Everything returned to normal operation, full macro function was restored.
However, references continue to return to the 16.0 object library, which are still missing. Sometimes it will take me several weeks before I have to replace the missing links with an older version, sometimes it will happen the next day. This is not a difficult decision, but it continues to happen, and most other users do not know what to do.
I have to imagine that the problem persists because the database is shared between several computers in the same office, although I believe that the same version of Microsoft Office is installed on all PCs. Any thoughts?
