The most appropriate task would be to contact them and ask if they can open the migration request in order to merge their changes into the original repository.
While you can also clone your repo, add your original as a remote repo, merge the changes locally and then click on your own repo, you will need to check their license and they may not know that you pulled your work into yours, if you want to try this, do the following:
- Clone the fork containing the code you want to combine.
- make sure the fork is in sync .
- Add your original repository as remote for the fork you just cloned.
- Push the new work into the source repository using the remote computer you just created, ideally you should push it to the branch with the function / theme, so that in the future there will be a useful history of commits.
