Android Studio project structure - library dependency options only offer alpha versions

What controls the versions offered on the Choose Library Dependency list? I see only alpha versions.

File> Project Structure ...

Where is the project structure

Select the application under "Modules"> Dependencies tab> "green plus" on the right> "Library Dependency" Project Structure> Dependencies> Add Library Dependency

What my gradle file looks like. I had to select the version of -alpha1 and then modify the gradle file to output the correct version.
