Odd auto-scroll / transition behavior in Chrome (iOS) when moving to the next page

I have a fixed position header. And then I have the content; some divs with some text.

If I:

  • Go to the start page of my website.
  • Scroll down
  • Click any link

Then on the next page the page automatically scrolls about the same amount as the address bar !?

I don’t understand why it automatically scrolls the second page - it has nothing to do with the first ?!

And here is one thing that is even more interesting.

If I do the same action as above, except that before clicking any link I scroll again (a little), then the next page will load the layout properly without automatic scrolling / jumping !?

Any clues?
