Keyboard conversion for Onenote 2016 on Windows 7

I used Autohotkey to reassign keys for easy text editing. For example, I redirect Alt + i / j / k / l up / left / down / right. However, autohotkey is not available in my production environment. I am wondering if there is a way to use a macro or API for remapping in Onenote 2016.

I did some research and found that this is not easy since the macro is not available for Onenote and I cannot use Onetastic in my production environment. The onenote API also has a lot of docs, and I don't know where to start.

Can anyone give some recommendations on this? It will be great if someone can provide sample code! I have onentoe 2016 on windows 7 64 bit.

This is not possible through the Onenote API, https://dev.onenote.com/docs since you cannot modify the existing application hotkey configuration.

There is a similar question, and it seems that some hot keys are edited in the registry (which you most likely do not have access to), or Onenote has options for changing hot keys: https://superuser.com/questions/199422/how -to-disable-or-change-the-windowss-hotkey-in-onenote

You wrote that autohotkey is not available in your work environment, but this is probably the only solution. You can also link your script to exe; therefore no need to install the full Autohotkey.
