How to underline a word in Markdown

How to underline a word in Markdown?

For example: bold = **bold**or __bold__, italic = *Italic*or _Italic_.

I tried with 2 and 3 underscores, but it does not work. Also tried taking the link markdown-it.js.

Using the plugin ( markdown-it-ins)

You can use ++Underlined Text++to underline text in markdown-it.js. Keep in mind that this is not a standard markdown and may not work elsewhere. This work is demonstrated here on a website markdown-it.
