Can't install Azure extension

Question

I have visual studio 2017 v2 and I'm trying to install the Azure extension. I tried a fresh installation of vs on a new PC, as well as an older one. Every time I get the error message "Extension could not be installed on this product because of prerequisites that cannot be resolved." This does not tell me what it is or what I can do to solve the problem. How can I fix the problem?

The last thing I checked (a couple of weeks ago), the extension / equipping of Azure functions is available only with a preview of VS2017.
