Getting THICK h1

Question

I have been designing a website for a long time, but one thing that completely loops around me is how people achieve this THICK bold h1 effect. Here is a good example of what I mean -

Even after applying a font weight of 700 it always looks thin (no matter which font I choose) -

I will probably feel so stupid when I find out how to do it.

You need to try a different font. The one shown in the example is similar to Bebas Neue .
