Android Studio: javadoc dependencies no longer visible

Question

Android Studio v3.0 Canary 4, but for me also on Android Studio v2.3.3

Since this happened, I'm not sure which version or configuration I made (if any), but I can no longer see the javadoc libraries / dependencies:

Despite the fact that the Android SDK does show javadocs correctly:

This is true for all the libraries that I have, I searched everywhere on the net for this problem, and it seems that I'm the only one.
