Facebook Messenger Subscription - Insufficient Resolution

Question

I have a facebook messenger application (this is a bot using the MS Bot Framework, although I do not think this is relevant). It has a website subscribed to pages. It used to work fine until a few days ago, when the website was unsubscribed from the page, and when I try to sign up again, it tells me:

"Insufficient permission. You do not have the required permission for the specified page to perform the requested action.

I am the owner and administrator of both the FB page and the Messenger. I created a similar application for pages and messengers, and it works there, but I still need to use this old one. I tried to subscribe to other pages that I own and the administrator, but with the same result. I also tried this with another person who is the administrator.

I found that other people experience the same / similar message in FB, but not in this particular case. But I did not find a solution.

Does anyone know what the problem is? Or has anyone experienced this problem?
