Secondary payment processor as a fallback reserve

When processing online loan payments, you see a series of refusals from the bank issuing the credit card to the end user. Some of them are legal (Internet payments are blocked, there is no money in the account), but some of them are also an automatic fraud system by mistake.

I played with the idea of having a secondary payment processor, and if the credit card declines on my primary, try again with the second.

Does anyone have experience with this and / or know if this is a bad idea.

Thank!
