is there a matplotlib widget plugin for QTDesigner available for Mac?
Why I don’t care: I am trying to use a GUI-ify existing python / matplotlib / scipy / numpy application. I would like to try to do this through QT and Qdesigner, but I'm new to them. I know that I can implement the GUI separately from the constructor "manually" and got the benefits from "Chapter 6. Insert Matplotlib in Qt 4" (from the Matplotlib book for Python developers) and messages such as " http://eli.thegreenplace.net / 2009/01/20 / matplotlib-with-pyqt-guis / "and" Deploying matplotlib in pyqt4 using imshow ". But maybe there is a plugin for designers there that seems to help me, and I can't find it anywhere.
I saw posts like the Matplotlib widget in Qtdesigner, "but I can’t find the matplotlib plugin on my Mac hard drive. (I use MacPorts and pythonselect is installed in version 2.7.) The only plugins I have are
/opt/local/share/qt4/plugins/designer/libpython27plugin.dylib
/opt/local/share/qt4/plugins/designer/libpython32plugin.dylib
/opt/local/share/qt4/plugins/designer/libqdeclarativeview.dylib
/opt/local/share/qt4/plugins/designer/libqt3supportwidgets.dylib
/opt/local/share/qt4/plugins/designer/libqwebview.dylib
/opt/local/share/qt4/plugins/designer/libqwt_designer_plugin.dylib
PythonXY is supposedly shipping the matplotlib plugin, however, according to the “ PythonXY on Mac? ” Thread, there is no PythonXY port available ...
So, is there a way to plan my full GUI using a plugin in Designer (or some other solution), or am I just going to manually encode the matplotlib part in some frame?
Thank.
