Although I am by no means an expert in Ubuntu, I have two servers working without problems.
Last night, when I tried to access the local website on one of them, I got an error:
**Bad Request**
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Additionally, a 400 Bad Request error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
After hours of frustration and failure, I rebuilt the server. During the installation of Ubuntu, I went to another server and received exactly the same error. The first server has now been restored, and it shows the same error.
I turned off every computer on the network. Turned off the router and started again.
In addition to the two servers, the network consists of three Windows computers and an Ubuntu desktop.
I tried to isolate the machines from the Internet, I tried both wired and wireless clients.
Switching to a local server on the servers displays the Ubuntu Apache Default page.
The only thing that happened during the occurrence of the problem was that Windows decided to turn off this machine for updating. I do not understand how this could cause problems, but I isolated this machine from the network, and the problem exists.
I deleted cookies, used five different browsers, and they all reported the same error. I have almost no ideas, and I'm looking for any suggestions.
