Is there a way to find out which method is called when I press the button

Suppose I want to debug an application that I know little about. Is there an easy way (to set some kind of breakpoint) to find out which method is called when such an event occurs. If it worked for other activities, it would be great. I know that there are other approaches, searching in the project for a button shortcut or so on, but sometimes a button only has an image.
