I have an AWS RDS instance with PostgreSQL. When creating the instance, I indicated that the maximum retention period for automatic backups is 7. But I can see the automatic backup of the last 9 days in the snapshot section.
Does anyone know what is going on here?
This is normal in RDS, you can see 1 or 2 more automatic snapshots compared to the maximum storage period. For this, you can refer to RDS documents. This is also provided in the FAQ https://aws.amazon.com/rds/faqs
