Where is the “Enable Library Download” option on Android?

In the release of the "Google VR SDK Release Note for Unity v1.40" (April 2017) https://developers.google.com/vr/unity/release-notes

Note. You must enable dynamic loading of the library in VrCore in order to get the latest C ++ GVR updates. To do this, go to Settings> Developer Options

Enable library download. If developer options are not displayed, tap 7 times in the build version.

I'm looking for Nexus 5X (7.0), Nexus 6P (preview), Pixel XL (7.1), I can’t find the “Enable library loading” option in the “Developer options”. What does it mean?

This option is available only in the VR developer settings .

To access the option:

  • Open a VR app, such as a Daydream app for Pixel XL
  • Go to the settings menu either through the regular menu (for example, in the Daydream application), or by clicking on the small gear in the upper right corner, if you are in stereo mode Settings button position in stereo

  • At the bottom of the list you will see the settings menu with the words "Build Version": tap it several times to activate the developer mode

  • When developer mode is activated, you should find in it the option “Enable loading of the GVR SDK library”.
