Forgive me if you consider it obvious, but I did not find suitable (not outdated) material on the same.
So, I have a chrome extension ( Zoho Mail Tracker ), which, as the name suggests, is an email tracker for Zoho mail client.
It relies on GCM notifications to provide information to the user. My question is what should I use as GCM will not work in Firefox .
I have tried to read a lot and it seems that most things are out of date or out of date. Should I resort to a long poll (seems like a really bad idea) or websites?
Or should I just wait until it is implemented correctly in Firefox?
