Kcov reports 100% for Rust lib, although some methods are not covered

What is the reason for this and can it be fixed? I have already tried setting RUSTFLAGS to "-C link-dead-code" as suggested in this answer: https://stackoverflow.com/a/3166161/2121 , however it did not help.
