Improving sound quality when using a virtual audio cable using Skype

Question

I installed a virtual audio cable (VAC) on my computer in order to be able to exchange sound while watching YouTube videos on other sites. It seems to work, but the sound from my microphone and video starts when I turn on the video. The sound is fine without video, and I can hear the sound of sound through VAC.

I believe that the problem may be related to tuning, for example, bit rate, but I do not know much about tuning the sound in order to determine exactly what is wrong and how to fix it.
