Does Entity Framework support MariaDB?

Does the Entity Framework Core support MariaDB?

I do not see this in the list of supported providers , but MySQL is. Maybe the MySQL provider will work against MariaDB?

I am using the Pomelo MySql provider with Maria DB. It works great. MariaDB is just a MySql fork,
