Is it possible to search for a commit hash in gitk?

By default, the commit search window in gitk searches in different commit fields, but does not include a hash. This makes it difficult to find a specific commit, especially if you only have a shortened hash.

Are there any workarounds for this problem?

You can enter a hash (abbreviation) in the field to the right under the list of commits, and then click the "Go" button to the left of the field.

You can start gitk with the sha command as an argument:

gitk abc123

, . , , .
