Can localStorage and / or IndexedDB local data be persistent?

I plan to create a fully standalone HTML5 application and want the data to never be deleted, except when the user consciously does it.

I do not want the data to be deleted even after closing the application, turning off the system or something like CCleaner.

What you are looking for is persistent storage , as defined in the quota management API . Currently, none of the browsers have implemented it.
