We have the file search engine Verity K2 V6.1, implemented in RedDot LiveServer V3.1.1.
The folder VerityDB(the search index is displayed) contains more than 17,000 .bif files (Veritys' Bulk Insert File format), which contain instructions for adding / removing / changing to update the index. We know that about 4 weeks ago, new BIF files were no longer included in the real-time search index.
Translation: we have web pages that exist, but our search engine index does not know about them. We traced it to this issue with the Verity index.
Question with two parts:
- What is the right process to restore Verity Index
- Can we safely exclude old BIF files (files will be back 9 years of age) with the hope that new BIF files will be applied?
The full answer should contain a list of all steps to restore the Verity index (screenshots will be appreciated, but not necessary!)
