Understanding Symbols and Using URLs

I would like a little help understanding this URL a little better.

something / page = 2 &? Agent = 2725

I know that with the help $_GET["page"]I can get the 'page and presumably the "agent" using the same approach.

I am trying to understand the role of the '&' character . According to the forecast, I can assume that it combines a page and an agent code . Do I understand this correctly?

In which instance can you use this & symbol and how is it useful?

&This character is used to separate each parameter into a URL. Thus, basically, when the request parameters are analyzed by the server, it knows that each &is a different variable.
