How to prevent the "Program stopped working" dialog when calling .exe from Powershell

Question

I am working on a PS script to generate XML representations of a huge amount of Crystal Reports (Windows 7). In this script, I create an object representing all the files that need to be parsed, then iterate over them, calling them .exe on them one at a time. Sometimes this .exe crashes. This is great because it is quite rare, and reports that cannot be processed can be marked and viewed manually. The problem is that I have thousands of .rpt files to process, and if .exe fails on Windows, a dialog box appears asking me to debug or continue.
