How good is picaffe compared to coffee?

Question

I want to try using the pycaffe interface to teach caffe models. In particular, I want to use a python layer for data input.

Will this learning be slow or will pycaffe just act as an interface to the actual coffee? What are the effects?

Any attempts to enlighten beginners will be grateful.
