How to make TrailRenderer work when timeScale is 0 in Unity?

I want to use TrailRenderer when my game is paused, but since timeScale is 0, the result of deltaTime is 0, this made TrailRenderer not function (the tail never dies)

I cannot find any parameter that allows me to manually set the duration of the update or call the TrailRenderer update.

As in An Animator, we can update it in "UnscaledDeltaTime", how can I do this for TrailRenderer?
