Tesseract 4.0 for English handwriting

Question

I want to know if anyone tried tesseract version 4.0 (still in alpha, I think) for handwriting.

From what I read from his documentation, he now uses LSTM and claims to give much better results.

I think it's worth training tesseract (since it now implements LSTM) for handwriting, or does anyone else have experience learning tesseract.
