Set reminder / timer on Alexa custom skill?

I would like the alarm to go out of my alexa user skill. Is it possible to set a timer similar to Alexa's manual request to set a timer using a skill?

No, this is currently not possible, but Amazon, of course, wishes the developers this.

Your skill sends responses to the user in the context of the request - he cannot initiate new weekend minutes later.

You may be able to do something hacked with a very long answer or with a new ability to stream audio, but I don’t think you will get what you want.
