Add annotation in 3D Scatterplot in Plotly

Question

I am new to this arena and hope to get help. I am just starting to work with Plotly and use it to create a very simple 3D Scatterplot that models some shelves and which items are where. While I built the “shelf” and the graph, I would like to add an annotation to the text indicating which shelf I'm looking at.
Here is the current output of my program and this is what I am trying to do

I tried to look at the documentation and tried to add an annotation (as for 2D analogues), and when compiling the code, the text does not appear.
