Ui.bootstrap.dropdown maintains focus when other controls are clicked

I am trying to use a directive Angular UI ui.bootstrap.dropdownwhere I ran into a problem. After I crossed out the carriage of the drop-down list and then click anywhere on the body, then if I try to click on the text field, the text field will immediately lose focus and the focus will return to the carriage of the drop-down menu. However, I cannot produce this behavior in the plunker. But this behavior can be created on the demo page Angular UI. To produce this behavior -

goto https://angular-ui.imtqy.com/bootstrap/#/dropdown
press one of the carriage buttons to open the menu.
click anywhere in the body to close the menu.
scroll to date popup demo page
try to place the cursor in one of the text box
the text field immediately loses focus and the page scrolls down to the pop-up menu that was clicked.

I'm not sure how to stop this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update

This behavior seems to exist only in version 2.3.1. If I use 2.3.0, this will not happen. Here is a plunker that produces the same behavior - http://plnkr.co/edit/c4EGyxQD1vbksFWjnIGb
