Is there anything that an oil knife can do that data binding cannot?

we are just starting a new project

And both butterknife and data binding seem to be great tools for reducing template code.

We started with butterkife and added data binding later, the idea is to not have viewmodel classes in java and not express them in xml.

Is there any reason to keep butterkife?
