Version Control System for Excel-VBA Code

I am looking for a version control system that I can use for VBA code, perhaps in the form of an add-on, but similar to SVN or Git or even commercial software. I know that there is a discussion here and there , however they are over 6 years old, and this is not quite what I want to have. And I know that you can use Tortoise SVN only for code, but not for the entire project (all code modules + tables), and I know that this can be done manually.
