I am trying to take 15 megapixel images using Logitech c920.
The camera supports full resolution video (2.1 MP) and static images of 15 MB.
Using the supplied Logitech software, I really can save 15MP images. But if I access the camera directly through DirectShow, I can get Full HD resolution. The camera seems to be stuck in video mode.
I tried various examples for accessing webcams, namely RobotEyez , VLC , NirSoft WebCamImageSave .
I am beginning to suspect that the default interfaces for webcams under the windows are for video only, and that there is no official way to say that the camera accepts still images with a higher resolution than the video stream.
How can I access such a device under windows to capture the full 15MP resolution supported for still images?
