Android app update on COSU device

I am working on application support for the COSU Android application . The application works fine for me, but I don’t understand how the user will update our application, because the user of the COSU application cannot access another application even in the Google Play store. So, now the question arises, how will the user update our application without access to Google Play. I have one application for downloading solutin from our server, but in this case the user will lose the save data, such as the data that we store in SharedPreference. Please guide me if you have any other solution for this. Thank you for coming.

According to Google’s docs on COSU (managing Google Play apps), you can “install, update, and uninstall apps using the EMM playback API.” In the “Manage private apps for Google” section, it describes the ability to host private apps through Play that your users can install / upgrade:

Simplifies publishing and updating private applications hosted on Google workflows that are available to all administrators through managed Google Play, allowing administrators to update private applications hosted on Google through the EMM console rather than through the Google Play console.
