I am trying to enable Jaspersoft Studio from the Eclipse Market website (Mars version).
The problem is that the operation cannot be performed due to dependencies.
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Jaspersoft Studio feature 6.3.1.final (com.jaspersoft.studio.feature.feature.group 6.3.1.final)
Missing requirement: JasperReports Feature 6.3.1.final (net.sf.jasperreports.feature.feature.group 6.3.1.final) requires 'org.apache.commons.dbcp 1.4.0' but it could not be found
Cannot satisfy dependency:
From: Jaspersoft Studio feature 6.3.1.final (com.jaspersoft.studio.feature.feature.group 6.3.1.final)
To: net.sf.jasperreports.feature.feature.group [6.3.1.final]
I am trying to solve the problem by installing org.apache.commons.dbcp , I downloaded the zip package and tried to install using the following steps. (Help → Install new software → Add → Archive).
But I got an error message: no software site was found in jar: file: / E: /commons-dbcp2-2.1.1-bin.zip! /. You want to change the location.
I already searched and looked at some solution, but they did not help me.
Am I doing something wrong? I am looking for a solution or alternative ways.
