Cannot find logs in container for Elastic Dock

I run a public elastic search container with the following arguments:

docker run -d -v /elasticsearch/data:/usr/share/elasticsearch/data -p 9200:9200 -p 9300:9300 --name my_elastic_search elasticsearch:2.4.1 -Des.cluster.name="elastic_search_name"

I am interested in receiving magazines, but I was not lucky to find them. Where should they be located? I looked through /var/log/elasticsearchand /usr/share/elasticsearch/logsboth of these directories are empty.

The default logging configuration in tagged docker containers 2.4.xdoes not include file logging. The solution is to map the elasticsearch folder configto your own volume containing the file logging.yml (both the file elasticsearch.ymland the folder scripts!)

docker run -d -v /elasticsearch/config:/usr/share/elasticsearch/config -v /elasticsearch/data:/usr/share/elasticsearch/data -p 9200:9200 -p 9300:9300 --name my_elastic_search elasticsearch:2.4.1 -Des.cluster.name="elastic_search_name"
