InfluxDB - query milliseconds from the last data point in the time series

Question

Can I write an InfluxDB request that will give me the number of milliseconds since the last record in the time series? I would like to add a dashboard with one status in Grafana showing how old the data is.

I do not think this is possible, since you cannot request time alone. An infuxdb request requires at least one non-time request. You can get around this by doubling the time in an additional field that you can request yourself.
