I already have experience in Docker and EC2. But I'm new to ECS. Can someone help me understand what these two parameters actually do, their difference and usage.

minimum healthy percentagerepresents the lower limit on the number of your service tasks that must remain RUNNING during deployment, as a percentage of the number of tasks required (rounded to the nearest integer). This option allows you to deploy without using additional cluster capacity. For example, if your service has the required number of four tasks and a minimum healthy percentage of 50%, the scheduler can stop two existing tasks to free up cluster capacity before starting two new tasks. Tasks for services that do not use a load balancer are considered healthy if they are in the RUNNING state; tasks for services that use the load balancer are considered healthy if they are in the RUNNING state, and the container instance on which it is located,reported as healthy with a load balancer. The default value for the minimum healthy percentage is 50% in the console and 100% for the AWS CLI, AWS SDK, and API.
The maximum% parameter represents the upper limit on the number of your service tasks that are allowed in the RUNNING or PENDING state during deployment, as a percentage of the required number of tasks (rounded down) to the nearest integer). This option allows you to determine the size of the deployment package. For example, if your service has the required number of four tasks and the maximum percentage value is 200%, the scheduler can start four new tasks before stopping the four old tasks (provided that the cluster resources necessary for this are available). The default value for the maximum percentage is 200%.
