Create a git tag with a submodule

A small question about the git submodule.

Suppose I have projectAone and it has a submodule that can be called moduleA.

Then I create a tag in projectA, tagAthen I can have some new commits for projectAor moduleA, and then I want to go back to tagAusing git checkout tagA.

The task is projectAto return to tagA, but moduleAnot.

Do you know how to do this?

Just update your submodule, which you will return to tagAin the parent repo:

git submodule update
