Copy command / search history to clipboard

Question

I'm trying to insert commands

Copy the history command to the clipboard q::%y
Copy the search history to the clipboardq/:%y

in vimscript:

:normal q::%y
:normal q/:%y

but he does not copy anything
Why?

(It works great when I do it manually ( q::%y q/:%y))
