I use Xamarin.Forms to develop applications for Android and iOS. I have a MasterDetailPage with TabbedPage (homepage) as a drillthrough that has 5 tabs, and on the main page (burger menu) I have two options: Homepage or Account.
On iOS, tabs behave, as expected, in that the burger menu pushes over them. On Android, tabs are still clickable at the top of the screen - which I know is the Xamarin thing. This is the expected behavior, according to the Xamarin forums and the Bugzilla report, which marks it as "RESOLVED NOT_ON_ROADMAP".
My problem is that when switching to another page through the burger menu, the title of the last selected tab is still displayed at the top of the page in the navigation bar. I donβt want to get rid of the navigation bar, because I want the burger icon to appear so that the user can still return to the home page.

How do I get rid of the title on a new page?
21/11/16 EDIT:
It seems that the title is attached to the burger icon - I noticed that when I click on the burger menu, everything is highlighted, not just the icon. Is there a title icon or something that is being installed?
