I installed the new version of Mac Sierra and installed the latest version of scala -ide (scala -SDK-4.4.1-vfinal-2.11-macosx.cocoa.x86_64.zip), but its error is higher when opening the application.

I also faced the same problem in Sierra. There seems to be a problem with unpacking in the Sierra. Both double click and unzip command. I ended up using windows (I had VM windows in VMFusion) and used 7zip to unzip the zip. After that, it opens correctly on Mac.
