I want to backup my CouchDB to S3.
In CouchDB 1.x, I just tar files .couchand upload the resulting file.
.couch
CouchDB 2.x crawls.
Can I back up CouchDB 2 by running the data directory in the same way?
After discussing with people on the CouchDB IRC channel, it seems that you can safely back up and restore one node CouchDB 2 server by creating a backup /shardswhile _dbs.couchalso creating a backup (which contains information about the fragments).
/shards
_dbs.couch
