Comparison of the network with the overlap of Cubernetes

I was wondering if anyone could give me a brief overview of the differences / advantages between all the different Kubernetes network overlay. The Getting Started Guide ( http://kubernetes.io/docs/getting-started-guides/scratch/#network ) mentions the following:

  • flannel
  • Calico
  • Weaving
  • Romana
  • Open vSwitch (OVS)

But it doesn’t really explain what the differences are between them and what advantages and disadvantages everyone has. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of which of these solutions I should use for a simple CentOS 7 cluster.

Thank!

This comparative matrix has been split several times into Slack Kubernetes and may be useful.

However, be careful with potentially outdated information, keep in mind that "the devil is in the details", so the reality may not be as simple as it would seem in accordance with this document. All available solutions will have pros and cons, but will also be more suitable for some use cases than others, therefore, as always, we are talking about compromises and YMMV.
