Kafka Offset after a storage period

I have a kafka theme with 1 section. if it had 100 posts, the offset would be from 0.99.

In accordance with the kafka retention policy, all messages will be destroyed after the specified period.

and I send 100 new messages to the topic when they were all destroyed (after the storage period). Now, where will the new message offset begin? is it from 100 or from 0 ??

I'm trying to figure out if there will be new offsets 100-199 or 0-99?
